Oh, eek.
I did once have a pair of jeans that ripped when I landed on a sharp piece of Dartmoor, and thereafter had a patch on one knee with the words “kneecap assembly inspection cover” embroidered on it.

Thank goodness you didn’t have to patch them over the bum!

Never a bad move, that. Thanks.
There are some as would say that I have all the right moves…

There is, apparently, some excitement at The Blessed Fred’s Haberdashery
The Noo owners, who took over & moved to larger premises in May, have started to stock ‘Ducky Darlings’ yarns, which are hand dyed in the Derbyshire Dales.
As you know, I am no knitter, but the colours are fabulous

Cost a bit, mind.
…wool from local Barefaced Liars Bluefaced Leicesters
I have no idea of quantities required for anything, Fishy, but it is certainly fabulous, & unique.
Fred’s price for it is the same as the Ducky Darlings website. It will be interesting to see how well it sells.

KSL would be happening this weekend. Well, technically it is, but only in a reduced-capacity go-round-and-buy-stuff-and-get-out sort of way.
I would imagine that it’s horrifically expensive to have any sort of presence at these things.

Yeah. Well, if you’re going to rent Alexandra Palace, it has to be, even before the organisers’ profits are considered.
Absolutely, Dunnock
I think that I would be stymied if I went to summat like that - in a ‘normal’ year hardly room to move, & no time to browse, & this year hard to socially distance, no inclination to browse, & not be able to touch anything.
I hope that everyone has managed to make enuff to keep going

It was a bit of a scrum at times. Lots of flat shoes and well-honed elbows.
But the Cellary Excursion last year managed to make space somehow.
[menacin’ tseep]
We did intermittently mislay a Fish, IIRC. Although the creature was found safe and well, frolicking in a clump of variegated yarns ;- )
My elbows are normally innan permanently well-honed state fer when Hot Buttered Crusts may be happening , but sadly, are not up to crowd control ATM…
I would add my infamous Shopping Stare to the Menacin’ Tseep

I went to Woolfest in Cockermouth one year, about '06 I think. Highly recommended, and they had real live sheep there too - bet they don’t have those at Alexandra Palace.
Not going to Wool Events without real live sheep in future. Feel I have been short-changed.
