Now I think of it, around that time they had all their gear - including instruments - stolen. I was just one of a whole raft of musicians who helped out
The thing that always makes me wild about people stealing instruments is that itās so very unlikely that the thief will give a damn about the instrument itself, heāll just see it as a source of cash, which really sucks. And thereās no way heāll be paid what itās worth when he hocks it, even if one doesnāt count the way what you play comes to feel as you and it grow together.
Well, quite. I believe that my piano has a soul-of-sorts. Itās unlikely that anyone could steal her (sheās a heavy one) to be fair. My last piano was sold when we were impoverished and it almost broke the beely heart, I can tell you. I retain my fiddle and guitar, though, and never play them.

Copland. Rodeo?
Thatās it. Isnāt it?
Yup. Brain-fart here.
Whoever chose that reveals either:
- a wonderful sense of irony, or
- total ignorance of Coplandās life and politics.
I know which one my moneyās onā¦
Me too.

I love the dance moves of these wonderful AI creations.
Accepting that AI will exist regardless of my misgivings, Iād prefer that humanity were a bit more savvy about its own ignorance and that checks and balances might be āstandardā.
