Who knows? I rather suspect not, as if depends on blood tests (which have been good so far, so fingers crossed) as well as assessments by the Consul and Tissue Viability Nurse. Whether all of that can be arranged by close of play today is doubtful - and even then, there’s no guarantee that either will give the all-clear.
They actually managed a half-decent cup this morning! (I remember from my previous incarceration that food was always shite at the weekend - the proper catering staff only work Monday to Friday)
Dear Joe advice from your friend in the west is to grimly park in the bed until You are sure you are properly better
Not nice I know but I have been bounced back to hospital due to being released too soon
Now I proffer good bacon butties and a samovar of tea
If they try to take it off you as a safety hazard refer to me
Well, news from the consultant is that bloods are normal, so no infection. Then they dropped the bombshell that the TVN isn’t in today.
Buggrit.
Then they went into conflab, re-examined leg, noted level of exudate being produced (none*) and decided that I could get it handled by community nurse with outpatient referral to TVN.
Upshot - once I get the dressing changed, I’m out of here!
*When I was admitted, it was about two shoefuls per hour
