Bibi (The late arrival - she hatched nearly a month after the others. We assumed the egg wasn’t viable, but Bertha resisted all efforts to get her off the nest. She clearly knew better than us!)
The others were all off doing hen things in the woods, but I’ll try and get some more in the next day or so. Meanwhile, talking about the woods - after twenty or so years, it’s not just the hens that have become productive:

She has a personality to match - a really gentle, sweet nature. Bran has literally taken her under his wing; when they go to roost at night she’s always tucked up beside him. I think that because she was hatched so much later she got bullied a bit by the others; Bran seems to have appointed himself her protector.

Er, actually…
The bulk sacks currently work out cheaper than the ones sold as birdseed. But they don’t get them as feed (that’s your common or garden layers mash) but as an occasional treat. Hence the queues at the window…
