Had an exhausting day, but have acquired some very pretty plates and a couple of lovely blue glass bits and a useful side table wiv storage, plus loads of boring domestic gubbins. I am off on a few months’ Adventure in a cabin in the backside of beyond (well, 15 mins downhill to the bus to either the city or a town, more like 30 going back up) while I wait for house purchase to complete.

Also, me new ‘local’ at the bottom of the hill. Landlord Rob and I are already on affable terms. Me lovely.

It is! Wouldn’t do long-term but as an adventure it’s really great. So quiet, and stunning scenery. Photo sadly inadequate. Top of a hill overlooking the Golden Valley. Very interesting and delightful landlady, fabulous garden, and self-contained. Bit basic in certain respects but I’ve narrowboated, and it’s also a bit of nostalgia in that way. Bein’ v organised and that sort of thing.

Wheezing merrily and feeling a bit grumpy at missing the weekend but at least I am here in an actual bed being kept from getting worse until the Prof’s team weigh in in the morning
And it is a cystic fibroses and related lung disease or condition specialist ward so they are pretty good and will be better when I get horsey type sleeping pills down my neck

Azz fer me; I’m glad to be home but sad to be away from the Highlands. DD and GD will visit, tomorrow and BFs will arrive on Saturday for the weekend. Good distractions, so they are.
