Things have come to a pretty pass when one retires, sober, with a receptacle in case of spewage.
Already blessed with the body fat of a small seal, I have now developed the bark to go with it. Phoque this.

Oh, and it’s really bothering the cat. Not just the noise: he’s behaving as though I smell wrong. Maybe I just smell

Since I stopped commuting in London, my sense of smell has improved markedly, and I do notice it when people are a bit under the weather. Sometimes before they do.

Also vegetarians smell like “food”. I’m not sure I would want to share a house with one.

That’s apex predator talk, that is.

The Oaf kindly overcame his suspicions and snuggled most sociably earlier, until I catapulted the poor little sod off with a coughing fit.

How’s the chesticles, Twellsy?

Much sympathy for our sufferin’ Gus and hopes that the Fishly One is more The Thing.

The area in which I live is one which supports countryside activities - I accept this. However, one of our neighbours was training his gun dog puppy, this afternoon, by chucking a dead pheasant high into the air, repeatedly, in a ghastly parody of ‘fetch’. Quite ruined me salt beef salad enjoyment and I am wondering if I’m just going soft.

Have some Gin, Soo

It’s one thing to know & accept that this takes place, but that sounds a bit close to be comfortable

Thanks, Chatelaine.

One of the problems associated with this (hen) pheasant flingage is that it can look very like a Sp’awk, a female of which species has been terrorising me birdies.

Spluttery thanks, dere Bee. I am fine so long as I do not try to talk, don’t experience a change of air termperature, and don’t fail to take a sip of fluid every couple of minutes. Or have a random sneezing fit.

That Cat has been most assiduously helping with The Knitting, too. < sigh > I think he means well. I think he thinks I enjoy the game.

I suppose that you do little to disabuse him of this, Gus.

I have responded to meds and have today bought organza for making flower brooches as gifts to the ABI girls

And I have made all dips and things for a post Strictly buffet sort of dinner with my lovely pharmacist friend who is tearing her garters to see the work done to the living room

She is a real house doer upper type and so seeing our taste emerging will give her a surprise

I have returned from spending the day with OMCB convinced that I am the next cellarite to come down with something-or-other. No specific symptoms that I can name at the moment, just a general feeling bloody awful kind of thing, weak & wobbly. Hope I haven’t given something to OMCB.

On the plus side, we drove out over the hills this morning in glorious sunshine and were treated to the sight of a pair of hen harriers playing with the breeze right by the side of the road. Wonderful,

Since he’s a Cat, there is little point in any such attempt, Soo: he will do what he do do…
