Back to normal English grey day after yesterday’s rainpocalypse.
Soo it is a nice soft Argentinian wine
16 yo-yos a magnum which is a reasonable price for a decent quaffing wine
Our pair sit in a thick laurel hedge & just watch. I once came almost eyeball to eyeball with one of them. It moved but in a “I’m going, but I’m not going to run” sort of way.
You know when they’re about as all other birds go eerily quiet & all flying ceases. … except the pigeons, which are stupid beasts. They appear to follow the old joke about a man putting running shoes on when confronted by a lion. “You’ll never outrun a lion”. “No, but I’ll outrun you !”
I routinely find fevvas, large black & grey ones. No other sign. They do a first-class job of clearing up the ex-pigeon.
I am en route to hospital
Asthma attack
The doctor was thinking of ambulance for me
Yon Bull is quicker so to the clinic I have been sent
Buggrit
Oh, sorry to hear that, Twellsy, get better!
Bugrit indeed, Twellsy. I hope things stabilise quickly and you are back in good fettle and your own bed very soon.

Take great card & good for yon Bull. xx
Bah humbug! I’ll start refilling the care packages now. (Some of them may have, er, evaporated a bit.)
Buggrit indeed. Not much more to add except show those pesky allergens who’s boss. (No better woman!)
Sending positive thorts and gentle hugs, Twellsy. Buggrit, indeed.

Damn, damn, damn.
Sending soothing for the poor misguided lungs…
Oh no! Sending love and soothing hugs, Twellsy.
Bluddy Hell, Twellsy
St Jude on overtime again…
Gentle Hugs
Carinthia.xx
Arrived, 3Wells whisked off with alacrity leaving me to go through registration etc. Probably will be being held on to …
Well done for getting her there PDQ, EB, and thank you for the update. Thinking of you both.
Likewise.

Within minutes of our arrival I was having iv meds and O2 with nebulisers
Been xrayed armfuls of blood took and the admission doctor is writing up my prescription
The clinic is good
On other matters, is it bad form to mention the C-word–in fact two C-words–wot iz happening today? The extra few weeks maturation made all the difference last year (though I would happily have forgone the necessity…)
Not prepared to go to quite that much effort without something to show for it that can be tucked into more or less immediately, I’m also resurrecting a recipe I tried years ago and lost - have found an alternative that looks temptingly similar. A rich chocolate & almond cake - no flour, it uses ground almonds instead, and proper 70%+ chocolate. The one I made years ago wasn’t so much moist as oozing…
I suspect Black Forest Gateau may be looming on the horizon…
Good to know you’re being well looked after - tell them if they don’t keep it up we’ll all be round to sort 'em out. And they really wouldn’t want that.
It is, rather: I had intended to make a start on the multiple CCs myself this weekend but Koff Stopped (postoned) Play. Grumph.
But tell me more about the chocolate and almond cake. Sounds heavenly.
