So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

So that just leaves the question: how many ducks will it take to lift an medium-sized Fish?

Depends whether the Fish is heavier than a duck or not, I expect

We could conduct an Experiment with this swatch of sample waterfowl I am assembling. The Mandarin duck is being particularly uncooperative at the moment.

Thanks all for your thoughts last night, I had gone to bed.

I’m sure it’ll all be fine really, quite a lot of work but she’s worth it.

So she is, TFM. Kindest wishes to her and you.

With the greatest respect, they are messin’ with your head, Fishers. ‘Teal’ is blue, blueish green, green, greenish blue ad nauseam. Nobody else will have a clue, anyhoo, imo. Wot’s the occasion, Dearest Fish?

Just make sure that some part of the costume involves a gold or silver disc, with or without a hole in the middle.

Sudden Daughter has for some reason decreed “teal” as the colour for her wedding.

Did you ever try to get two people to agree as to what was a teal-coloured tie? Or indeed any other garment such as a waistcoat? Furthermore, it is not at all a fashionable colour this year or last, as far as I can make out.

Tsk. She didn’t give a Pantone number?

No, because those cost money.

Squeal!

I think that the various shades of teal that could present themselves might be subtle and effective. I would go as far as duck-egg blue (because that would suit me best) and ignore the whole ephemeral teal thing. Off to the kirk, soon.

I have just had fun with a lovely girl in a wool shop choosing wool for a cardi/jacket for yon Bull

We were like teenagers giggling over colour choices and button shapes

He is going to have a teal jacket knit by me!

I blame Sudden Daughter for the colour choice!

I trust ducks when they are boned and their breasts are skin side down on my griddle pan rendering the fat out

How was the lace Shetland shawl kit received, Twellsy? I meant to ask before, but life got in the way.

The kit was received with delight

B is really looking forward to brighter weather to get started on it

She keeps bringing the pattern out and reading it to get the stitch patterns straight in her mind before starting it
