Maybe Gus can settle this.
I wish that some entity or other would settle this blasted wind.
Ah - gin! Don’t mind if I do.

Because ‘situation’ in a (strong) NI accent is distinctive and, to childish folk such as this Limpet, entertaining. I have no idea how strong or which your accent is so I currently have no idea what is odd about you saying it.
I will join you wee bee
Dud is a very noisy boy and I am not looking forward to Eunice
Our roadside fence was repaired, this morning. Just auxiliary posts and the job seems to be a goodun. However - the fencers pitched up at 09.30, no 'phone call, no doorbell warning and this made me tetchy. As I said to lovely M at Church, I could have been doing my Dance of the Seven Veils - or anything. She said, ‘but you weren’t really doing the Dance of the Seven Veils - were you?’ I just couldn’t argue with this and felt the better for it.
Soo xx
I would have replied saying that I need lots more than a mere seven veils to preserve my modesty
But I am a daft old bat
I am not liking the way Eunice is shaping up
Amber warning for us and advice to keep an eye on the warnings as she is not a nice girl at all
The Dance of the Seven Army Surplus Blankets is a Goon-Show approved alternative, I believe, dear.
But whatever the dance, you weren’t seen doing it, wee Bee.
Our loss, I feel

Aha! A potential anthropological study? Best not…
I must check this out! But not now, as I am quite worn to a frazzle.
Best nights, Cellarites,

More Soo, & Severial Hugs
Itizz, I agree, most unsettling
Carinthia.xx
I dislike that developing hurricane on a weather map
Especially as we are close to the water feature and the warnings are already red for the wet stuff
I hope TFM and Joe are well hattened down
We just will not bother unhattening any batches
Bacon butties ready
Mix some lead shot into the chicken feed. (Well, gold would be better.)
I suggest gold as lead is not very good for chooks
I will fettle a dunnockly storm roost and weigh it down with bottles of gin
LOTS of gin as I intend to cower adjacent to the storm roost…
We are, as well as we can be, they say it’s expected to be the worst storm for 30 years. I know we’ll lose slates, that’s a routine part of life here, but I am praying for my two elm trees - quite apart from the fact that they are too close to the house for comfort, elms are very precious these days.
I am hoping my beloved eucalyptus tree stays put
It is at least 30metres tall and is a gorgeous specimen tree that gives shape and dappled shade to the garden
So your elms and my eucalyptus are to be on the Ent watch list for special attention TFM
While I don’t want the ghastly Ash that looms over our house to fall down, this is purely because of the damage it would cause and not because of any affection towards it. Best of luck to other trees. The wind speed has dropped to 20 mph, so walkies may be possible.

Enjoy a walk today wee bee
Eunice looks set to disrupt normal life tomorrow
I want that!
So do I
In other news the Bull is in my most good books
In the post a set of Knitpro needles in a case arrived for me today
40cms long and size 2.5 to 6 mm
Also a cased set of knitpro ginger circular needles sized 3.5 to 12 mm
And a wee clicky row counter
He is such a kind bull
Them’s what I use, the best I’ve found by far. A very kind bull indeed.
