Since the gathering in question is correctly described as a meeting (of a single party) as opposed to a debate on the floor of the Commons, a term needing no qualification, I would say it was totally intentional.
If we get the government and press we deserve, wellā€¦ Room for improvement all round.

Well, we shall just have to engineer an occasion where we can share something with Hollandaise rather than irritation. Mr Bee can have A Nice Hard-Boiled-Egg Salad, English style.
My aversion to boiled/poached/fried eggs makes me far more of a PITA overall, Iā€™m sure. Well, that and many other traits.
