So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 1)

I seem to have sunk into a stupor. I need to get off my arse and do something, but it is such a long way to the vertical.

Hugs, TFM. Is the Gin within arm’s reach? Well there you go, then: motivation ;- )

A Gus, it has a shiny nose, a thing it cannot mend because no papier sodding poudré. I see it gleaming in mirrors as I wander about and have this nagging suspicion that intelligence greater than man’s is using it as some class of navigational aid.

Because I am a really helpful person, and because it was a good excuse not to get up yet, I had a little google for a solution for you and Mumsnet came to the rescue. I think. Possibly.

Apparently, if you soak a cotton wool ball in Milk of Magnesia and wipe it over your nose, that will sort it out for you.

I am not at all sceptical. Honest.

Meanwhile* elsewhere**:

“Captain! We’ve lost the beacon!”

“May the Great Xax preserve us. Emergency de-warp. And pray we don’t come up inside a star.”

* insofar as this concept is valid in a relativistic universe
** pretty sure this one is though

I have not the wherewithal, dear, but it was a kind thought. Do you think rubbing the affected area really vigorously with a Rennie might have a similar effect? ‘Cos I could do that.

Evening, all.

Speaking from the softy north, our forecast isn’t too horrible. The rain will be unwelcome - given the still-present local flooding - and the wind will be unpleasant, but not unmanageable. Much sympathy for those who might have it rough.

Shiny nose? Well, I just use a single layer of paper tissue and blot the blighter.

Dinner was Comté frittata with curried rice salad and steamed stringless beans.

We have a feline comment on Debi and such matters:

Having surfers & a New Years Day swimmer in the Fambly I suppose that I should understand it, but I don’t…

Nor do I

In fact show boaters like that surfer irritate me thinking of the rescue folk if it goes wrong and he needs lifeboat to fish him out

Why put others at risk for a photo of you being wreckless?
