Distant thunder, it’s started to rain, and the Oaf has actually had the sense to come in.

ETA 35 mins later. And now it seems to be over, apart from a lingering smell of drains and some half-hearted drippage. Still, it was wet while it lasted.

Not here it’s not. Not distant, I mean. Woke me at 5 and hasn’t stopped since, lightning is almost constant, 's great.

No thunder here, but at least we have a nice steady rain.

We had audible thunder for well over 3 hours here, watching it on the lightning map it was 2 huge storms back to back - by the time the first was pretty much past us we were starting to hear the second. Heavy rain throughout and it’s still coming down. Wonderful.

She’s doing great thanks, Twellsy. It’s the other one who isn’t at the moment, hence our presence in Norfolk. I must say, I like it here though, wouldn’t mind staying really.

Just for a change, it’s the bleedin’ clarinet today. I blame War & Peas.
Quite a lot of wet, but pretty much let up now.

Bluddy raining here

How do I stir fry dinner on Ozzie in the rain?

Stoke harder so that the raindrops boil off before they hit.

The baby over the road visited the Ma this afternoon. He is allegedly ‘a dear little soul’. The cat was a bit confused but didn’t attack or anything. And the Ma seems greatly cheered, so yay!

Really pleased about that, Gus.

The Candles are lit & tonight I raise a glass to the memory of Jack Westlake, who has died, aged 99.

I knew him for 53 years.

He raised 1 million pounds to provide various important Scanners for our Orsepiddle here, in memory of his late wife,
who died of a brain tumour.
Not ‘fancy fundraising’ but endless coffee mornings, cricket matches, tombolas & the like.
I made a Father Christmas outfit for the cause, & it is still in existence…

At least they obeyed my instructions to provide a Noo beard each time it was worn…
