So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 1)

What a pain, Soo. Thank goodness M&S had what you needed. I must admit I have always found Tesco to be hopeless at Christmas, so M&S was always the destination at that time of year when we were on the island - the only other alternative being the execrable Shoprite, which was hopeless at any time of year.

I find our Tesco online delivery service is not bad at all

The pickers seem to pick the best fresh food and are very decent about the odd delivery that is substituted

I n the new year Dunnes delivery service shall be tried

Tesco deliveries have been good for me most of the time, Twellsy, it’s just at Christmas that it all goes to pot*

*Now there’s a thought, if that were taken literally it could improve Christmas, now I come to think of it.

I have never tried it, TFM. Fags & booze take the edge orff here.

The only deliveries I have had have been from Asda, & they email when something isn’t in stock & arsk if you will accept substitutions.

They deliver fags & booze too…

Aha! So, it was you with the sprouts and carrots then, Hedgers?

We’ll be visiting neighbours for a NYE curry. Another guest has been in contact, today, with her poorly demented hubby in his nursing home abode. He tested positive for Covid, this morning and we have been asked if we’d prefer that this guest stay at home…Mr Bee has answered in the affirmative, I am kwoffing a Fino sherry with the invidious nature of it all.

Aye - bluddy plague. Those family members who spent Christmas with us were all recovering from something-or-other and koffed all over the place. Sis was ill and tested +ve, so stayed at home with BiL. I have tested and am -ve, so I’ll have to bee sociable. Off to wash my hair.

Don’t mind if I do, Carinthia, thanks.

It will not be a long night here - bed soon after 10 with gin and a good book, asleep by 11, as per. The new year will happen with us or without us.

There was entertainment here regarding my bluddy blood

My INR as expected dropped like a stone and so I said to start with cover of heparin

The nurse called the doctor and she called the consultant who said to wait till tomorrow to see what happened with extra rat poison

Ye Bull came charging in and the schoolgirl in scrubs arrived to discuss meds

Suffice it to say that I now have heparin injected into me to keep my blood running
