So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Snork wee birdie

I can just see the poor peeler trying to write the report for that incident

And trying to work out what to do with an incensed racoon

Maybe it’s the combination of recent purchases of reading glasses and gin. I’d certainly need both to hand before curling up with a Dostoevsky.

“Public animal” is a classification rather than an accolade? Well, there’s a thing!
Poor raccoon. I hope they were good scratches and bites.

Oof

My body clock appears to have given up the ghost this week, & I have slept for hours during the day.
Yesterday I thought that I would have another Snoozette, & I woke up on the sofa at 3am!

I have been properly awake simce 6am, so am flagging abit now.

I may need another snoozette before I have to go out fer Supplies.

Bitterly cold wind here, which is unsettling.

They are very clever little critturs. I’m surprised it didn’t take over the driving.

Oof

Ittizz windy out there.

After another 2 hour Snoozette, I stomped up the road fer Supplies. Milk was purchased, so the supply of coffee won’t be interrupted.

Bargains of the evening were 6 Burford Brown eggs reduced to ÂŁ1-00, from ÂŁ3-15, & Rescue Tulips which were ÂŁ2

Today was spent indoors. Sundried tomato bread was made and dinner was one of Mr Bee’s favourites - cauli steaks, nut loaf, blooming onion and raitha. We had insalata caprese for lunch, so it’s not all been beige. I know - I need to get out more

Can one bloom a garlic? Asking for a friend… :vampire:

Tell your friend, not bloomin’ likely.

Wouldn’t work fer structural reasons

Sadly not, cos there is nothing to support it. The bulb can be sliced across, & roasted, making a different looking flower, but they don’t ‘bloom’.

Stay safe, Cellarites. We have a namby-pamby bit of breeze, just now…

Twellsy - re the blooming onions, the only thing I can suggest is very hot, high smoke point oil. I use groundnut (horribly expensive, mind).

So screaming hot rapeseed and hope?

Don’t like groundnut I’m afraid

I should think so. And, fry the onion ‘upside down’, at the start.
