So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

My year’s supply of garlic has arrived

There will be roast garlic with dinner

Dinner will be a Chinese takeaway, owing to too much to do, unbelieveably. Duck pancakes, for me.

That sounds like a very good idea.

Both the washer & dishwasher are getting their monthly clean today, so the Citric Acid has been used.

The vacuum cleaner has been deployed to, so an Flump is on the cards

Oof

Have fired-up the Candles & Quattro.

I have just heard from Ireland that my cousin’s husband died suddenly on Saturday. It was their 40th Wedding Anniversary, & Mr C et Moi went to the wedding.

RIP Billy.

Of course there have to be complications, don’t there?

They were away with their 4 children & 6 grandchildren in Kerry, celebrating the Anniversary, so organising the funeral has been more complicated.

Sigh

While I appreciate the logistic problems that entails, at least your cousin had family support immediately to hand.
Awful for them all. My condolences.

Thank-you all.

It’s the speed at which things have to be organised in Ireland, still, he is back now, & they are all gathered.

What a sweet bovine

and what a sad tale from our Chatelaine

We do have our funerals promptly here and I find the delays of ye lot hard to cope with

I once kept a friend company through the awful wait of a fortnight while English relatives assembled and it tore her to pieces being in limbo fo so long

I suppose it comes down to what we are taught while we grow up

I have leopards and tabby cat all playing “king of the castle” here

On all my boxes of wool and fabric

Luckily they are sturdy plastic chest of drawers type of boxes

The waiting can be both useful & awful. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for my Father’s funeral in January 2016, & it took place on the first day that there was room at the Crem. The Church wasn’t a problem.
It meant that there could be 8 Irish Rellies there though, as they had time to book flights/travel.

I was putting the salad in the 'fridge at 2am, as one does, & a 500g carton of Greek yoghurt jumped out & landed on the floor…

It had split in 3 places

Sigh

Pore Carinthia. I definitely don’t need spillages of any kind, as we have our first house-viewer booked in for Thursday afternoon. Only listed on-line this morning…

Tonight we’ll have mushroom guvec and flat breads. Any news on the teeth, Twellsy?
