Something similar happened to me during the winter and I noticed when I removed the phone from under Heidi that it was quite hot. She had caused it to be a nice little heating pad for her. She also looked smug.

I was sleeping off giving a lift to a Swede in the early hours and getting home with the dawn. Rest assured that the yardarm is safe, and not under the cat.
