It’s different…

An artwork installed on Sheffield and Tinsley Canal between lock 4 and 5, apparently.

Love it! And no narrow boat I ever parked ended up like that, honest.
[shudderity] at the thought of leaping out with the central line and Holding On; I’d do myself an injury now, probably. But I whack a good mooring pin [grinnity]

I did tell youse lot about the time I emerged from the chandler’s at Uxbridge with a new central line coiled over me shoulder, plus an axe, pretty much straight into the arms of Thames Valley’s finest, didn’t I? If that’s not Going Equipped (wiv Junior Murderer’s Kit) I’d like to know wot is.

Thank you, Darling. I would do likewise, but lack the immediate wherewithal, so a virtual :candle: will have to do ( unless any Cellarite has the casual arsonist’s vade mecum available fer a bit of subcontractin’)

Good nights, Cellarites all

SO - travel arrangements have been made.

Arriving in Moffat on 21st, first concert is on the 22nd and we’re staying around for the next day.
24th we’re driving down to Reading (handy for M4 and easy train into London).
2nd concert is on 25th in Hampstead.
Heading back via Pembroke on 26th.

Any cellarati likely to be in the vicinity around those times? I’m sure I could find time for a swift half…

We are about half an hour from Reading; what sort of time of day?

Ooh, how exciting, Joe.

We have to check out of the Moffat apartment by 10.30 on the Tuesday. It’s basically down to traffic after that. It’s about a six or seven hour drive, so should be there by late afternoon / early evening.

Concert is on the following evening - looking at getting a train round about 5.00 - so we could possibly meet up somewhere earlier in the day? Or possibly the previous evening - maybe get a taxi to a midway hostelry…?

I’m sure we can work something out!

I have just been given a beautiful present

A large geranium/pelargonium with huge balls of flowers that start white and fade to pink

Our friend took seeds from his plants last year and grew them this year

Luck produced a few seeds of this gorgeous plant

So he grew it and took cuttings and I saw it and asked for a cutting

That was last week

So today he trusted me with a large healthy plant in a 2 litre pot

Isn’t that so kind?

His own horticultural miracle entrusted to me in my conservatory on the table by my side with my computer

What a lovely gift, Twellsy. By the way - I never feel left out because of my geographical position, iyswim. I have absolute faith that, were we able to make a Meet, we’d be made welcome.

Home-built pizzas for this evening.
