Hot chocolate wivvan shot of Rum innit was the skiers warmer-upper of choice.
Mr C always purchased them separately, as they tried short measures in the ready-dosed ones.

Today has been a day of Heart Foundation collection (the Hive looks Huge) and book and cd packing. I had the (brilliant, yet obvious) idea of employing our picnic basket as our first-line defence against eating off the floor, using our hands when we arrive at our temp home. Amongst many things, it contains wine glasses and a cork screw, so we’ll bee fine. Tuna salade niçoise has been our dinner.

I went to collect my Prescription this afternoon. Didn’t stop forran drink, as it was Ferkin’ cold & damp, prior to freezing outside.
I have sat outside in much lower temperatures, but very dry cold, rather than what we had here today.
I will probably have to go next week, when the wevver is better…
Next soup to be made will be mushroom.

I haven’t yet sorted the mushroom soup, as I realised that I had a bag of stirfry vegetables to use up, so I am heating up the stock now.
Itizz Bluddy cold, & I can always manage a bowl of soup.

We are now on an amber warning for tomorrow with the surrounding counties on a red warning
I am glad we live in an old solid stone house which has seen some weather in nigh on 400 years of its existence and stayed put
I think this means we are unlikely to be affected by storms too much

Apparently there is up to an 11 hour wait at our A&E…
I have just been diagnosing a badly sprained ankle over the 'phone.
A friend was going to go to town, & slipped on black ice whilst crossing a road for her 'bus.
