So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Shock can be horrible and last longer than you would think

I am glad you were able to talk her through that too

Shock can last a while, for sure. Having kind folks’ support can be invaluable, when it comes to relatively small injuries. I wish your friend well, Carinthia.

We removed pictures and mirrors from the walls, today. To our horror - our horror, I tell you - there are now black marks telling the tale of their boundaries. Only those hung over heat sources, but we have tried white vinegar, soda bic, and rubber erasion to less than successful ends. And - we can’t hoik out the fridge-freezer, freezer, washer and drier yet. :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth: Gin, anyone?

Completely normal and to be expected. First brush down wall and rub with dry microfibre round the mark itself. Then rub gently in circles with microfibre cloth with vinegar solution, dry immediately with second mf cloth.

Then apply gin liberally to interior surfaces. Poor Bees.

Don’t do any more with the eraser if it’s a normal rubber though!

Much sympathy, Twellsy. Er ner it’s sner, here, but we have light and warmth. DD is presently trying to entertain a 2 year old whose usual milieu is uninhabitable due to no heating. The whole house plastering continueth and it’s the turn of the living room and dining room to have radiators removed.

Thank you for the advice, Gus. We’ll tackle those horrible marks afresh.

Sympathies to all affected by weather/leccy/heating woes - and moving woes come to that.

Here it is a bit windy (F5 -ish) and we have light rain. I think I’m in the right place just now.

I have every intention of going at a crawl the whole way if necessary!

Well, we are now safely installed in the Clifden Station House.

As a bonus, the undercarriage of the car has been washed. Twice.
