Keep it dear one

We are taking a friend shopping and at 82 years old she can do without snow

I imagine Carinthia can also do without it, DoB notwithstanding.

Gus of course our Chatelaine can do without snow

I was just saying about J who needs to go out her cottage door and across the garden to the barn to get turf to make a fire in the stove in her living room

As she lives as remotely as we do just asking a neighbour to help is not an option

Can some turf be brought closer to the house for her, Twellsy?

It’s a heavy job carrying buckets of the stuff.

Am now trying to remember where it was stored at the farm…

We have just spent a happy hour or so throwing out all the old receipts dating back to 2017, apart from the ones which have useful information on them like what sort of wool was bought or the address of the person who fettles the car’s aircon. There were a LOT, because I keep receipts for a year but had somehow not got round to throwing out the previous year’s ones five years running.

The turf shed is attached to the barnand so she has to go to the barn at the side of the house opposite to the side the door is at
J would be horrified if turf was brought in for her

She is hale and hearty and loves being loves being in the country and alone

Gives her peace for her art

Oof

Have put the Recycling bins out, more in hope than anticipation, although it’s raining, rather than snowing.

A charge of £40 per year is to be introduced for the emptying of our green bins. Here that means garden & food waste.

There are a lot of mutterings…
