We have been to the Christmas market in Galway and I have been spoiled

Much sympathy, Carinthia. Only temporary, for us, but Peebles has the most gorgeous high street - loads of independent shops, one of the best hardware stores we have browsed (they number many) and Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury within walking distance. Were Peebles nearer to Edinburgh for DD and also to Borders Railway for DS, weâd happily settle here. Still, itâs a happy place to be (although Iâll be sourcing a draught excluder, tomorrow as the floors are {{{cold}}} ).

Weâll be off to Dobbies (Dalkeith) tomorrow to look for draught excluders on our way to visit DD, GS and Poodle. We also need a bird feeder, suet balls for our resident Robin (may be one of a few, but who knows?) and outdoor lights for the house.
