So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Standard thing I always say (which I suspect you know): when you feel like getting up and Doing Stuff, force yourself to take it easy, or you may find you wipe yourself out and feel dire for longer. This is true of a lot of viral infections, but it seems especially true for COVID.

Flu used to take howeverlongittook and then at least ten days convalescence. Schools would not take you back until your temperature had been “normal” morning and evening for two full school weeks.

These days it is back to work after two days, and they wonder why the work done is shite.

I have just been presented with a dozen gorgeous avalanche roses

Gorgeous white big beautiful roses in a plain glass vase

The Bull didn’t want to leave them until the morning as he wants me to enjoy them at their best

So they have been de thorned and side shoots whipped off and I have them well trimmed and any petals that got damp en route plucked out

A lovely lady florist I worked for always said that if you buy good roses a petal or two won’t be missed and you get longer lasting roses

Bacon butties?

Oh, I’m all about the romance. (And cormoranting, the superior version of shagging.) But only if everyone involved wants to be. Cupid’s arrows, love potions, enchantments, they’re al mind control and we do not put up with them.

From elseweb:

st valentine was the patron saint of courtly love, and also of beekeepers. that’s true.

to celebrate with a unique and memorable twist, i’ve made my girlfriend a cake full of live bees, i hope she likes it
