So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Yes , Dunnock.

It’s quite a day, isn’t it?

Cheese, beetroot & onion* wiv a little mash for lunch. Cod fillet fer dinner.

*I saved the vinegar from a Baxters pickled beetroot jar, & added thinly sliced onion & some of the vacuum-packed beetroot 3 days ago.

It isn’t a ‘proper’ pickle as such, but nice, & fresh tasting.

Lamb bits in the oven - a neck and a shank should give a decent amount of marrow to go with the meat for an unctuous rich stock when I hurl them into the pressure cooker later

Then the stock is strained into a jug for tomorrow

Any worthwhile meat gets picked for the stoo as well

Cheap but delicious food is what cellarati do well I think

I thought that you had done the lamb the other day, Twellsy?

Sigh

I think that I may be Dazed & Kungfused…

Lamb roasted pan deglazed and hurled at the pressure cooker with carrot onion celery and bay leaves It will be a gorgeous stock for a stoo tomorrow

J bless her brought me a big bunch of tulips

So I now have tulips 2 bunches of a dozen daffs and white roses to enjoy

I am so lucky

And soon I will be helping C keep his thousands of daffs under control

He has 5 acres and planted a couple of hundred daffs per acre as a cash crop at the farmers’ market

The daffs have multiplied over 20 years so he needs help controlling them

Supper was rather good and enough veggie savoury rice for Friday is enfridged

This means J will help me pack for a rally on Friday

With her help I am not so likely to have a panic because I have forgotten something essential like underpinnings

I’d love to, but I’ve made a large amount of spicy prawns and courgettes. The freezer is your friend, Twellsy!

We had a rain-free and mild-weathered walk, this afternoon. Missed the Poodle, mind.

Patrick is going to the Doggy Hotel tonight, as Posh has an appointment at the Orsepiddle in the morning.

It was his Birthday last week, & she thinks that he will be ordering Room Service…

He has had chicken breast today, & was grunting at/talking to the Carer this afternoon. She didn’t know what he wanted, until Posh realised that Patrick knows that there are 2 in the packet, & he had only had one…

Poodle always looks gorgeous, Soo.

Proper Irish stew with all the meat picked off the neck and shank used for the stock and added in

Layers of spud carrot onion and meat and scented with fresh thyme

That sort of lamb stew…
