Exciting times here in the hovel
The CO alarm went off
So the stove went off pronto and we headed to the nearest shop that might have a replacement
Interesting looking at wires and poles of the electrical variety at weird angles and the wires are draped mostly onn hedges
And on the local radio we heard the electricity representative saying some folk will not be back on electric until Friday at the earliest
We are estimated to have power back late on Friday possibly

Having the generator has made it possible to have light and cooking and interwebby and tellybox and radio
We are well off compared to some folk but being good country folk/farmers our townland boasts several generators and we all have wells for water so we have potable water
G in the village has electric but no water
I have a steak and ale stew blurbling away in the oven and G is coming up to dine with us
Just for the change of scenery and company if nowt else
