So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Not a salt & vinegar fan at all. Plain crisps aren’t salty enough any more really, but those and smoky bacon are my favourites. Ideally Tayto’s Smoky Bacon.

At least he is building a cosy home for his wife and children

A few birds just Lep onto a female have their wicked way and flap away

As for mallards I am always surprised by the fact that any female mallards survive to lay eggs

And my blood is playing silly buggers again

Haha! Ahahahaha! Twellsy, have you seen a pigeon nest? A loose arrangement of a handful of twigs (three being the minimalist ideal) and an attitude of ‘It probably won’t roll off. Not right off. Sure, it’ll be fine.’ Amazing there are so many of the buggers, really.

Sorry to hear about the bludd.

I have never knowingly seen a pigeon’s nest as we have collared doves and thrushes of at least two types assorted finches and a couple of sparrows

Blackbirds and all corvids tree creepers and long eared owls are all regular sightings

Raptors include peregrine falcons and sparrow hawks and buzzards all feast upon the rodents that live here too

I am glad to report that since my blood for warfarin has been at 2.3 INR for six months now, they are reducing the frequency they want to check it to eight weeks, down from six and before that four and (during one hideous month) even two.

I regard this as a Good Thing.

I have enjoyed an small portion of spaghetti with Meat Sauce. The rest is in the freezer for another day.

I couldn’t really call it Bolognese, but it was heading in that direction.

Anyhoo

I know that Napolina Martyrs aren’t considered the best, but their tinned chopped Martyrs are consistently good, & don’t turn to mush during the long slow cooking.

I used Napolina chopped Martyrs for many years, but became a convert to Mutti (maybe 2-3 years ago). Even so, I’ll happily peel and chop fresh Martyrs if the recipe might benefit. This evening’s dinner requires no Martyrs - a fave rave - roasted halloumi, potato and asparagus salad.

Twellsy - in which way is your blood playing up, this time?

I can’t seem to get Mutti around here.

When I was a child, Cirio were considered the best. Grandma, who live round the corner, had those. We didn’t.

I have finally, heard from wor Posh, who is back in Orsepiddle ATM.

I am going greyer by the minute…

And of course today is the anniversary of Stabnight—a day when Helen proved her status as Ambridge’s worst killer. How will you be celebrating?

Moi? I shall ignore her, as ever.

But Soo, it’s a custard opportunity and thus not to be lightly dismissed.

But, I can have custard without the Helen added.
