So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

However tempted you are, do not drown Helen in custard. Waste of custard.

Oh, it wouldn’t take much and anyway, it’s good to treat yourself occasionally.

Our tribute dish was Hot Cross Bun Bread & Butter Pudding, using proper custard, made with vanilla sugar, to soak the HCBs ( the shop-bought muck).

Dinner al Tesco. Veg and herbs acquired, this afternoon. I’ll be lucky if they last until dinner-time. This problem is exaggerated in our new abode* and is a pain. This evening? Mushroom, cheese and parsley omelette with sweet potato fries and steamed broccoli.

*Still, we don’t relish leaving this place.

Twellsy - how went the Botox?

Carinthia - how is Posh and how are you?

Posh has been home from Orsepiddle for 3 hours so izzabit disorientated.

I had an 'phonecall from the Medequip Call Centre in Rochdale to say that her fall alarm had been activated, but they assure me that she is ok. ‘Someone’ dropped summat on it.

Sigh

I have lit the Candles early today!

Garlic mushrooms are being prepared here. They may well top an Omerletty now that you have given me the idea, Soo. :light_bulb:

Garlic mushroom Omerletty was delicious & the cooking liquid will make garlic soup for tomorrow.

Happy garlicky Sigh.

We dined on leftover paella and it was rather good the way a lot of things are good after a couple of days in the fridge with flavours melding together

And who told bluddy blackbirds that four ack emma is the time to have what sounded like a discussion with ICBMs

Botox was all right but head now sore from injection sites

And I had my B12 earlier and it made an already sore joint miserable so I’m being quiet and eating my nice morphine and sleeping pills

Roll on my visit to see pain professor who has ways with stopping pain
I missed my appointment due to being an in patient CT

Speaking of birds, a walk along the river in the sunshine this morning included 3 cormorants (can’t get away from them round here), 1 pink footed goose, 2 whatthehelltypeofbigducksarethose and one skylark.

Oh and one very friendly border terrier plus a gorgeous golden retriever x border collie.

Am using the garlicky liquid from yesterday to cook Basmati rice, so there will be savoury rice later.

I have had a long conversation with wor Posh today, so that was reassuring.

She has kept the same Carers this time, which is really good, as she likes (most of) them very much.

I still have the Candles lit though…

Sunny day, good for flyin’

Flyin’ is very safe. It’s the edges wot gets you. Ground, buildings, mountains, interstellar space. Avoid all these fings.

I’d suggest suggesting staying grounded, but, well…

I have lorst the dill. No, not that one, the herby (not fruity) one. I know I bought some on the day I was bewailing the short life-span of perishables in the present hive, but things usually last longer than this. I’ll be making salmon fish-cakes and this izz tragic.

We visited the Great Tapestry of Scotland, today:

The pic shows only a small selection of the truly amazing chronicle of Scotland’s history, depicted in painstaking artistry by the Stitchers. Fab.
