How much I would like to be able to phone the surgery…

NALL, Fishy :sad_but_relieved_face:

I order my prescriptions online.

The Surgery will take telephone queries about medication, but not orders. There is another number for that, which I haven’t (yet) tried.

They have tried to shift as much ‘business’ as possible online, but have to accept that not all of their Patients are as au fait as wot I am,(!) & have to offer alternatives.

I had to go to the other Practice for a blood test, & their services were not nearly as efficient.

All the thing does is arrange words and image elements to look like answers it’s seen before. Do not trust snake-oil salesmen.

Marmalade update: ten slightly larger jars of unwhiskied Seville marmalade have been encupboarded. Thoughts with TFD at this difficult time

Are you feeling any better, Dahlink?

It haa been quite a day - I watched most of the VE Day Service & then later, watched the Noo Pope appear.

Oh, I’m fine, thanks. It was just a sudden stealth snot attack. Ebony’s irritation was quite comical, though.
Didn’t follow anything VE Day ( TA excepted, and that was shite, there’s a surprise) but yon Fish and I did note that the marmalade was boiled in an Utility Pan, which feels kind of appropriate.
A bit surprised by the Pope. I was expecting either Tagle or, to quote no Chatelaine in particular, ‘a doddery Italian’. The wait between the white smoke and the announcement felt very long.
I love the photies of nuns out on the lash rejoicing.

TBF, by no means all of the papabile Italians were doddery.

The early bird catches the queue of traffic up the hill… and the back of it was just past where I wanted to turn off.

Thank you for thinking of him, Gus. I’m giving him plenty of support, and am confident he’ll find closure at the bottom of a bottle of his favourite malt.

I was quite surprised by the speed of the voting.

I had reread ‘Conclave’ to reacquaint myself with the appropriate levels of incense & subterfuge…

The timing of everything yesterday was interesting.

I managed to avoid ‘Whale Meat Agen’, altogether, Deo Gratias, but caught a very high version of ‘The White Cliffs of Dover’ which made my teeth itch…

It was 1° here last night, & I was tired & cold, so Stir-fry Soup will be made today.

That’s me 5 in 1 fowl swoop…

This was Kailzie Gardens, today. The season ticket is proving good value.

I had the first bbq of the year tonight and it was lovely to be in my happy spot with a gin to drink and a lot of smoke coating my sossiges with gorgeous flavour

The Bull :ox: had a hooj gurt pig chop on the bone

It was nearly two chops thick and was pronounced to be rather good

Sometime I will convince him that I can cook meat well over a fire
He panics every year until I persuade him that I have not lost the knack
