So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

We had asparagus, potato and halloumi roast salad. It was good enough.

What animal is a meatball?

I have seen most types of meat being reared outdoors but never spherical beasts

I know, Twellsy.

I was teasing you.

Meatballs are/were a particular Carinthian Fambly joke.

Mr C once picked up a tin of them to take camping &, whilst perusing the list of contents, announced, in the middle of (Normous) Tesco, that there was more meat in his (own) balls, than Campbells’… :joy::joy::joy:

Since that time, 30 odd years ago, every time that I either make , or buy them, I remember, & laugh.

They are often mistaken for the young of the haggis.

But all haggises have two long legs and two short ones

Meatballs have no legs

Not when they get to the table, dear, no: the legs are spindly and tough and quite inedible.

I hope that the Spring Booster is causing no problems and that Medicinals have done the trick.

My day has been spent walking, shopping, cooking and eating. Between the pair of us we have made puttanesca sauce (not hot, to be shared with GS), Goan cod and ginger/garlic potatoes. We must ready ourselves, tomorrow, for the Great Escape (planned birth of GD) on Monday. Poodle and GS depend upon us :face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth:

Poodle must of course be cosseted. The scone-snaffling wee so & so, not so much. < evil Gusly grinnity >. See, I can bear grudges on behalf of third parties as well as on my own account , wee Bee. Like being a Sin Eater, but a bit less dramatic. (Hardly like that at all, now I think about it.)

Might just possibly exert myself to light a candle tomorrow night - which of course reminds me of the old joke, when after the birth of the second baby in a remote croft and with the doctor fearing a third is yet to come, the father extinguishes the lamp and explains to the outraged quack that the light must be attracting them…

All good wishes to the Hive and its colonies
