Yer bees had a good Embra visit, despite the horrible wind…Got back to Peebles with a tyre pressure warning, and discovered we had a flat! No, not a bungalow (though we also have one of those). Mr Bee is still dealing wivvit - I took a taxi home.
Bad bee!
Eminently sensible Bee, imo. But then again, I am a notable waste of space and oxygen.
Never mind. I hope a dozen Beely feet are currently up, but six will do at a push.
Gxx
Single foot of the simple gastropod proudly elevated (the Boys is guarding the scrape, see).
Crocs seem to be one of the biggest changes to staff uniforms in Orsepiddle in these post Covid times because they are washable & can be worn with socks.
Crocs & trainers seem to have taken over.
I took my Crocs ‘sliders’ back with me after my home visit, but couldn’t get them on because my feet were swollen.
One of the things we’ll miss about living in Peebles, is that the garage we found is totally excellent - in our experience. They’ve replaced our poorly tyre, checked the rest and the wheel balancing and haven’t charged a fortune to do it. The newly appointed estate agent has visited to view and assess our let and ‘her joiner’ has hammered the ‘to let’ sign into the front garden. Feeling properly impermanent, now. The horrible thing that has happened, today, is that our erstwhile neighbour but always friend has told me that she has an aggressive, Stage 4 cancer. I wish that I were nearer to her.
For dinner - cod baked with fennel, cherry toms, capers, garlic and spices.
Dear Carinthia I am genuinely sorry to hear how low the wretched abcess has left you and you and I know that you are in need of sustenance to mop up meds
I have a basket of vodka scented hugs for
I am feeling very proud of myself with a new invention of a lamb sauce
A rump of lamb in the slow cooker with martyr as red wine garlic and Tom pureee onion and shrooms left to moulder for 24 hours and then the sauce thickened by boiling it and finishing it with a bit of butter
It was rather good
A fresh vegetable rice was the best thing to have with it
