Beak twine might be another option. Hmph.
Sleep is good dear Carinthia

Am home. Happy but tired.
[Reminiscent twangity]
A plaintive cry if ever I heard one, Hedgers.
Soo xx
Have deposited cakes in the Village hall and helped set up the tables boiler and set ready to open tomorrow
My cakes were cooed over and since the ICA is the Irish version of the WI I am relieved
The Bull had bought me new tins for cakes and a sponge sandwich is 8 eggs and a pound of flour sugar butter with the flavour of the cake
I think that should be enough for 16 slices
The coffee and walnut was attracting a lot of attention from members trying to work out how to taste it or even sniff it
The crafty group was there too so they were telling all and sundry about my baking and I was a little overwhelmed with the good kind comments
Possibly because wor Chatelaine has snabbled it on the QT. Just the thing to aid convalescence.
Absolutely, Gus Dahlink.
I could eat an piece right now.
I had roast beef sandwiches wiv lime pickle for my supper.
The quest for tasty food continues. The stirfry soup satisfied my need for Umami.
Sweet is a bit more difficult to quantify, but coffee walnut would always do it.

Oof
Did no-one hear my cries of anguish/swearing as I stubbed my big toe on the 'fridge door?
I feel that I may need an Normous Medicial annan sweep.

Ow. Poor Chatelaine!
Proposed course of treatment seems sound.
Gxx
Gus dear
Why did I think of you?
You wanted an idiot to slap and I’m available?
No dear I thought you might need several of those T shirts
You are adept at finding eejits
Why you even put up with me!
And it made 24 slices @ 3 yo-yos per slice
The Vicky sponge was also going fast as was the orange and lemon cake
I also got myself a pink alpaca wool hat with the wool coming from Fred Magic and Spitfire - local alpacas
The coffee and walnut cake lasted 1.5 hours
And a pair of fingerless gloves from Fred
I am flumping now
Well done, Twellers.
Very impressed at a hat from Named alpacas, as well as your fundraising cakery.
Thank you Gus
As my first time baking for the ICA I was a bit nervous that my cake would be up to standard
The answer seemed to be that I can bake a bit
As arresting sentences go, this one takes some beating:
When she screamed in terror, an unknown part of the bat wound up in her mouth for a few seconds
The bat’s sentiments have not been given similar editorial prominence.
I fink Batty should sue for emotional distress, not to mention occupyin’ the airways wivout a licence.
At the very least wee birdie
Poor Batty is bound to be suffering PTSD after the incident
