So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Well done Fishy. I’m sure that the postman, & visitors will be very grateful.

Gorse is lovely, but can be a beast.

I need a lot of work doing in the back garden.

Yesterday , in an moment of madness, I opened the back door, climbed the 3 steps up to the garden using an handy self-seeded Buddleia as an handrail, & picked 20 apples from my tree.

Turning round & coming back down the steps was almost an disaster. I didn’t fall, but came very close, & was very shaky for an hour after.

Anyhoo

Serious pruning & sorting is needed.

There’s no gorse, but there might be tigers…

We have a wildlife reserve

Aka rewilding

The birds and frogs seem to like it

Hopes for an Medicinal Summat.

I have achieved just over 2,000 steps today, so I am tired, but at least I know why.

I wasn’t asking for decent ones, just something better than generic pseudo scramble.

They are looking for a couple of Bar Staff at The Chesterfield Arms, Dunnock.

“An interest in Craft Beers & Real Ales would be an advantage, but is not a requirement. Don’t worry, we’ll soon bring you along” is what the advert says…

Might that suit our Dunnock & Feral?

I’m sure that we could provide references if required.

But does it pay enough to keep Feral in technical toys?

It was his Birthday and Christmas and other things present so he should be happy

I have good days & bad days like everyone else, Twellsy.

I don’t aim for the ‘Magickal’ (& spurious) 10,000 steps, but I do use the pedometer to gauge how I am doing.

I see anything over 1,000 steps as a bonus, & when I am really well, I can do 4-5,000 without too much trouble.

I knew that things were going Harse over Hapex when I registered 200-250 per day for 5 days on the (not) trot.

I don’t beat myself up about it.

Feral is looking at a semi-licit data source for motorway traffic flows.

(Traffic England make it public but don’t tell you about it unless you use that well-known hacker tool “view HTML source”.)

Normal motorway:

J8 (Oxford)
J8A (Oxford)
J9 (Bicester)
J10 (Ardley)
J11 (Banbury)
J12 (Gaydon)

M42:

J5 (Solihull)
J6 (Birmingham Airport / NEC)
J5A (Birmingham Airport)
J7|7A (M6 / Coleshill)
J6 (Birmingham Airport / NEC)
J7|7A (M6 / Coleshill)
J9 (M6 Toll / Curdworth)
J8 (Curdworth)
J9 (M6 Toll / Curdworth)
J10 (Tamworth / Nuneaton)
J11 (Measham)
J6 (Birmingham Airport / NEC)
J5A (Limited Access, M6 / Coleshill)

I fear this explains a lot.

Not to me. What does it explain, and about what?

It is supposed to be a list of motorway junctions, once each. Ideally, in order.

This one round Birmingham is strangely Different.

Oh, I get it. So you have to do a complicated zig-zag to use the road. Hmmm.

Meanwhile, my GP’s surgery has been improving its service again. I have just spent well over an hour sitting holding a phone in order to book an appointment for a shingles jab. I am contemplating trained pigeons….
