Actually I made the call at 15:11 and was put through at 16:33.
Bluddy Ell, Fishy.
Do they tell you which number you are in the queue?
Carinthia. xx
They do. I was āthird in the queueā between 16:01 and 16:22, so I assume whoever was on the phone then leads a very complicated medical life. It took me forty-seven seconds to say what I wanted, agree to an appointment, confirm it and ring off, so I hope some poor sod sitting at ninth in the queue was grateful!
I have made an sort of Frittata wiv potatoes, egg, buttered leeks & sweetcorn, which is very tasty.
I will make some apple, onion & celery salad when I have had a bit of an Flump.
Carinthia. xx
The Flump turned into a 2 hour sleepā¦

Sleep is good dear one
I am at the Black Pool for a review of my blood tomorrow
We had a very decent selection of small plates and a bowl of olives to start with
Whipped goat cheese with roast beetroot
Keftedes with a yummy sauce
Pea and oregano felafel with a blue cheese dressing
That was my dinner
Good evening, Cellarites.
Here we are, in East Lothian, with the breeze from the Firth of Forth keeping us cool. The new hive is very satisfactory and the journey to and from Embra today took just 30 minutes each way. The local Co-op is a 5 minute walk (stuff of dreams fer yer bee) and Musselburgh with its delights is a short drive away. Weāll go back to Peebles on Wednesday to vacuum the floors and then wait to be stung for our (hefty) deposit as we are clearly mucky bees. Weāll see. DD and GD will visit on Thursday and DS and DiL on Saturday. Poodle will wait her turn, as the well-mannered Dog she is.
Soo xx

Comgratulations & Good Luck to you both in your Noo Hive.
The quality of the food at the Co-op here is very good, & the price of basic necessities is matched to Aldi, so itās actually cheaper than anywhere else for the filtered milk I buy.
Are you going to get an Tumbril wot you can push? Thereās absolutely no neck strain with mine.
Carinthia. xx
Thank you, Carinthia.
Were I to pop over to the Co-op, Iād only be buying small items e.g. a head of broccoli (poor harvest, mind) or a pint of milk. I used to have a Co-op a short ābus ride away and found it invaluable when the kids were young.
Soo xx
Goodness, what very busy Bees you are. Exciting times. The New Hive does sound well situated on several fronts, and I approve of the cooling breezes. So, when are you off to the fleshpots of Musselburgh fer a night on the batter, eh? (Thatāll be one fish and one pudding supper, for the avoidance of doubt.)
Soo, please put the Beely feet up a bit when you can.

Iām normally quite good at imagining flavours, Twellsy, but I canāt get my head around that one. How did you rate it? (Overall, the meal sounds like perfect summer eating.)
Hope the bludd review is skilfully executed and generally uneventful. Best of ![]()

Apologies
The felafel had a yogurt and feta dip with a gorgeous sweet tomato and feta sauce
Itās a perfect menu that Changes frequently and leaves you feeling well fed and not overwhelmed by food
Three small plates for 25 yo -yos is a bargain in Dublin
As B says I am doing my bit by letting doctors marvel at me
Morning all. Tseep on a tstick. No canals in my lockup, constable, have a look for yourself.

[suspicious sloshity] oh thatās just the walrus.
I suggest you fly away now, Sparrer, before Gus sees that.
[Levers self up wiv mighty teef] Ahem. Since I am not, nor ever have been, in yon Birdās dodgy lock-up, it must be some other pinniped. I shall fight it if it comes out.
I have just been chasing up items missing from my prescription since April (!)
I count myself lucky that I was only on the āphone for 7 minutesā¦

I have been reviewed by the haematologists who seem to be quite happy with my condition
This pleases me greatly
Glad to hear it!
