So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

I recognised bits of bacon and possibly potatoes in the sparrer’s lunch

Purple sprouting broccoli and the steamed romanesco are no more as we eye en all

They were delicious with sossiges and sourdough bread

The bacon I can identify now you’ve pointed it out, but potatoes? Or chicken? Or fish? And the brown bits look a bit like walnuts, but not very like walnuts. There is definitely a dead (I hope) slug* lurking bottom left. And what on earth is the odd peachy coloured sauce?

*TFD was once served a slug in a BA Business Class salad. The young woman who served it to him screamed when he pointed it out.

DD was once served a caterpillar in a beely class roasted kale. The father who served it to her blanched as she screamed.

Could be chicken, could be Friday Fish wiv Fish Bits*/Scraps.

*Fish Bits/Scraps were the bits of batter wot fell orff of the fish when being fried. They were highly prized when I was young, & were free towards the end of the evening-more available on Fridays & Saturdays.

Summat hot, fried, salty & free

Retiring a little earlier than yesterday, and back at the hotel I see this lot being hauled in. Setting up at 10pm? Glad I’m on the third floor.

The bottom of the sparrerly thing is cauliflower so the sauces could be a cheese substitute affair

I have just been Shunned by two separate dogs. I am not entirely happy about this.
On the plus side, I am having a FREE beer, which makes up for the Doberman, and, the poutine people having shut, had a very fine chicken gyros*, which almost makes up for the strange Sheltie-like little floof (who cowered in absolute horror).

*apologies for lack of photie of said food item. On the bright side, there was also no photie of me eating it. So I think on balance you’re winning ;- )

PS: it was also CF (cauliflower free), not that I have a problem with the cauliflower. Au contraire.

I did wonder if it was poutine with extra bits.

What’s wrong with the Czech ribbon dance?

Or the Portuguese candle dance?

Or a bit of Flamenco

Or a Danish cheese dance

Or a good Clog dance

Or a highland fling

I never did Irish dancing as it is not good for ankle strength so needed in ballet

I have done the odd hornpipe and Morris dance

So what’s wrong with folk dances?

I have never even seen Poutine, let alone tried it. I don’t even do chips with gravy.
Hot & Salty is about as far as I get…
