I, on the other hand, am rather devoted to poutine. I know, it looks disgusting, but it tastes lovely.
But many Canadians share your opinion and wouldnāt let poutine pass their lips.
I wouldnāt mind ātrying before I buyā, Janie, but would worry about an whole portion of summat I couldnāt eat.

One day weāll share a small poutine, Carinthia! Actually that reminds me of the old joke:

Two things.

Itās cheese curds, chips and gravy, all together. It can be a complete meal if you want it to be.

Those chips look gorgeous
I like a golden brow turgid chip rather than the pale flaccid things that seem to be the offering in too many places purporting to sell chips
Happy shamrocks folks
Frenchyās chips are gorgeous. I, a poutine fan, am starting to chose chips only over poutine.
Regarding poutine, you canāt help losing the crispness of the chips, obviously, once youāve poured gravy over them. So the quality of the gravy and the curds is very important. And itās good if the chips at least started out crisp.
Poutine is an acquired taste that people would do well not to acquire. I came late to it myself.
