So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Nothing whatsoever, Twellsy. I just thought the next question was best avoided.

That’s a relief TFM

I was worried my girlhood medal winning at feises expertise would be thought of as a waste of time

Far from it, in fact I’m sure we’d all enjoy a demonstration. Whenever you’re ready…

''I am glad to say that I have never seen a spade."

I, on the other hand, am rather devoted to poutine. I know, it looks disgusting, but it tastes lovely.

But many Canadians share your opinion and wouldn’t let poutine pass their lips.

One day we’ll share a small poutine, Carinthia! Actually that reminds me of the old joke:

Do you like children?
Yes, but I don’t think I could manage a whole one.

Two things.

  1. I have a Dolly Parton worm in my head singing ā€˜Poutine, Poutine, Poutine, Poutine, I’m begging of you please don’t shut the van’.
  2. The mirror in the lift and the brutal lighting have revealed a hitherto unknown (to me) wrinkle.

Neither of the above is particularly helpful…

And strangely, there is no emoticon of a worm with a rack and a guitar, so you will have to make do with :worm:

Poutine is half way between a poitrine and a putain?

I think that I may be missing the point here…

I think/thought that Poutine(s) was/izzan complete meal…

My brain has been frying all day so I may be mistaken…

It’s cheese curds, chips and gravy, all together. It can be a complete meal if you want it to be.

Those chips look gorgeous

I like a golden brow turgid chip rather than the pale flaccid things that seem to be the offering in too many places purporting to sell chips

Frenchy’s chips are gorgeous. I, a poutine fan, am starting to chose chips only over poutine.

Regarding poutine, you can’t help losing the crispness of the chips, obviously, once you’ve poured gravy over them. So the quality of the gravy and the curds is very important. And it’s good if the chips at least started out crisp.

Poutine is an acquired taste that people would do well not to acquire. I came late to it myself.
