The day I attended my first post mortem I got back to the station to find the only thing left for lunch was liver with numerous large veins and the horrible texture of overcooked food
The deceased died from liver cancer
Sometimes life is a bit rough
So it is. Sometimes it’s good, too. I have baked a side of salmon, to use in fish pies, and I am glad that I can both afford this luxury and also source it. So, I have (largely) recovered from my ghastly experiences with liver - I ate around the veins, btw. Never again!

Azzan ‘Ornery’ sliced wholemeal loaf, Warburtons with no added sugar isn’t bad. It is soft, & makes a decent sandwich.
I like to eat more ‘worthy’ wholemeal with butter.
Wholemeal toast & smoked mackerel pâté for lunch, & I am snacking on radishes. The fruit & veg stall was outside the Orsepiddle yesterday, & I liked the look of almost everything on it.
I don’t seem to get on very well with sweet potato, however itizz cooked.

Salmon pie for this evening. With asparagus. I can hardly wait as, apart from the bacon butty, I have had nowt to eat since my brekker banana. Our weather is cool, wet and windy so a pie seems just the thing.

Been charging around at crafty group then Aldi then making and cooking pasta and making a cheese sauce a la me for tonight’s dinner of a pasta bake
It is a good cheese sauce with chorizo onion garlic and mushroom
Don’t you have to dry homemade pasta forrabit?
Visions of the hovel festooned wiv pasta on broom handles, although a friend bought an Noo wooden clothes drier for hers.
It was one of those ‘concertina’ ones, so was kept innan cupboard.
