So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

Wanders to the door and clangs bell shouting “Unclean Unclean”

goes to gin lake to sit out the time required after the contact and trace folk tell you that you have been exposed to the dreaded Covid

Before I was told about my contact

Tseep.

Back to normal November grey. It has clearly been raining. The dustmen are singing their happy dustman song.

I am not going to panic about the test or my exposure

I will just be a good girl and stay isolated

Glad to hear it;-)

I’m not sure n these circs what the point of going to hospital for a Covid test is: it is an incremental, albeit tiny, risk. And your own quack has recommended you refrain from gadding about, so isolating would be pretty much what you should be doing anyway.
Not a nag, that, just a case of mild ‘what is point?’ bafflement.

Why does it have to be in a hospital? Most testing is done at drive-in facilities, usually at GAA grounds. Open air and you don’t even have to get out of the car - just wind down the window. Chance of becoming a nexus for spreading the virus practically nil - unlike somewhere with a large concentration of sick people.
