There is a surprisingly larger number of bruised bits that I didn’t notice yesterday, all quietly going purple. Some of them hurt; most of them don’t.

A plan to make something with chicken, onion and mushroom for supper; not sure what yet, but probably some sort of stew.

If you are really sneaky you can sweat the onions, mushrooms & garlic in butter, add the chicken pieces,& cook that, & then add hot stock carefully, after an hour or so - you don’t want to boil the meat. Leave it all to behave itself, on medium or low & then,as long as the stock/sauce is still bubbling, bung in the raw pasta/rinsed rice & leave it to finish orff.

Adjust seasoning/add cream/wotevva & you have a one pot dish

The chicken pasta thingy I discovered last week is well worth trying, too - much the same as the above pollo alla Castellana but wiv added cream cheese and parmesan (which, now I think of it, is covered by “/wotevva”).
