How are you feeling now, Joe?
Relieved!
The problem was backing up almost an entire drive as part of a general reorganisation / clean-up. Not exactly onerous, but time consuming - and not helped by a computer that has its tenth birthday in a few weeks. Bulk transfer by USB2 is not fun!
I could have just let it do its own thing and gone to bed, but Iâve seen that go horribly wrong in the past, soâŚ
Definitely deserving of that yardarm.
Feral RAID-0s everything except laptops, and runs automatic daily backups of everything.
I just lies back and sips me gin.
That makes sense, thanks.
Hope youâre feeling better now joe.
No-one tell Pammy but Iâve probably been eating a member of her family, Iâm stuffed full of Tamworth sausages.
Unfortunately I donât have that luxury.
Wouldnât really have helped in this instance anyway. This was adding a new drive to consolidate storage of specific files, to free up space on the others. Whatever happened, I was going to have to sort through them manually.
Meanwhile, just got collared to help someone with their tax, only to find we canât log in because âyour certificate has expiredâ. So, we go digging for an updated one, and are informed that instructions were sent in an email last month. So I open the email:

An example of a genuine Catch 22! Theyâre quite rare.
I recommend to your attention a Grate Big Storage Server. So huge that fifteen years of TA is a mere drop in the bucket, and the bucket is lost on the seaâŚ
(If we kept fifteen years of TA, which would of course be Norty.)

I leave techie things to the Bull
âŚand he leaves menu things to you. Probably best all round ;- )
Can I make mine a Directorâs?
The Bull is replete with Dexter beef bookmakers butties
He seems to be a happy Bull at the moment

Anyone want the last cold sausage?

Three minute sirloin steaks of Dexter beeves in a third of a baguette Acevedo mushrooms and onions melted in butter
I declare that that is beef
A pub used to have such a thing on the menu and so we call it a betting sandwich ever since
