I’m having nothing to do with it! I don’t like Christmas cake.

I hate polystyrene with a vengeance, but did once save a box which some frozen stuff came in. Itizz remarkably useful for transporting either hot or cold stuff inna safe manner
I was going to have some Haddock from the F&C shop this evening, & drop off more stuff for the Food Bank, but have had to rethink me plans
I had defrosted meatballs, & some homemade
Martyr sauce, so that is what I have had.

I love Christmas cake
Preferably with no marzipan or icing and a bit of a decent Wensleydale on it
The proper way to eat Christmas cake that is
A proper way, I might let pass. THE proper way - git lorst, lidy. Marzipan, the putty of the angels (and putti).
I am presently attempting to source festive pillow cases. I’d rather not explain why I am doing this and I am being singularly unsuccessful, anyhoo.
Bedtime.

This any help?
Some of them are actually reasonably tasteful
Dear Bee,
Just take a decent & godfearing white cotton pillowcase and stuff it with holly leaves. By magic, festive red spots will manifest themselves on it overnight.
Oh, don’t mention it; my pleasure.

Morning dear
I was woken by a Bengal shoving me out of his space on the bed
That’s wot the fire is for, to keep the predators away from the cave…
yardarm
Bengals like fire - it is as disruptive as they are in the wrong paws
They have the best paws to help with the flaming disruptions
Ooh yum! And it sounds so easy even I could do it, though I’d pass on the idea of serving it in the bread…
Yumm indeed TFM
I think I have the right cheeses to bugga about with the receipt
I’ll let you try it first then, before I give it a go. Then when mine goes wrong I’ll know it was my own fault.

I plan using 24 month old artisan cheddar with a proper red leceister and a hand made staffordshire blue
All from the farmers’ market cheese man who makes a lot of his produce
And proper job beer
