I havenāt had a haircut since February 2020 {{{shudder}}}. Poodle needs a cut to keep her eyes and ears clear of fuzz and also so she doesnāt attract too much damp/mud/snow/burrs etc. Havenāt seen her since July
How are the Darlings, Carinthia?

Grotty, but no worse, AFAIK, thank-you, Soo

And thereās a bit of the railway between here and Birmingham where one is surrounded by flooded fields any time itās rained more than a little.
That Poodle is Posinā.
Remote furfles to the Poodle - she is gorgeous
I bet she has a loving cheerful soul
Much of the A40 north and west of Oxford is surrounded by water when the floods are out (thereās another word for it, TFM! out) and it is at the level of the tops of the gates in some of the fields beside the road, which is itself built on a causeway.
Brewdog used to make a beer called āLost Lagerā. It was rather nice.
They are now using the same name for their shiny new ācarbon-negativeā beer. And itās utterly dull, just the same as any old lager youād get from a decent offie ā not quite your mass market swill but just barely above it.
Ho hum.
Annoying when that happens, Dunnock.
Have enjoyed scampi & salad, & got out pork tenderloin to have with mushrooms & black pudding on the morrow. Veg will be roasted, & then there will be the makings of soup.

I am hoping to feel up to making a cowherdās pie with the last of the beef joint we had earlier in the week: onion, mushroom, minced-up roast beef, and the gravy I made from the juice under the roast, plus garlic-potato. Maybe a sprinkling of grated cheese on top just because. This is the sort of thing which keeps me from Despair.

Sounds delicious, and may you feel up to it.
It was. Change and decayā¦
You not feeling too good, Dear Fish?

Gorra cold. It makes me wobbly because it has Gone To Me Ears. Well, the left ear, specifically. If that isnāt improved by Monday I will be talking to a doctor about antibiotics ā and she knows I do not do that lightly, because they always wreak havoc with my guts and require much live yoghurt.
Pore Fishers! Ear infections can be absolute misery. I hope that antibiotics might be the answer, despite their adverse effects.
