Meh. Perishing cold and miserable but ner snerr. Just wet. Cannae build a snowman, so will have to make do with a rainman, i.e. a puddle that counts. Not to be confused with e.g. the Atlantic - a puddle that really counts…
Gooood morning, my little chickabiddies.
Good Morning
Bread sausages bacon (smoked and sweet cured) fried puddings all on chafing dishes for diy sangwiches
Gus yes our wee water feature counts any sunshine as water evaporated to become rain to rain on us!
Ner sner here either. Met. Office now says we should get a bit about 6pm today, and more early tomorrow morning. Meanwhile it’s a good flyin’ day.

Ner sner here and I will be quite delighted if this state of affirs continues!
And after falling a couple of weeks ago on ice I am not to fussed on frozen drives either
I would never last in Canada despite the Bull’s origins
An ear report: after I signed out yesterday there was a sort of pop in my left ear of the sort you sometimes get when you go up or down a hill fast in a car, followed by the most revolting taste that you can imagine at the back of my throat, and today I am no longer feeling dizzy all the time. So that’s good.
I have drink Krim, the sparkling red wine from Georgia.
(Not very much of it.)
Since I started on the post nasal drip treatment sprays up my nose I have lost the nasty taste and gained the squeaking squealing pops in my ears
BNot nice so you have my sympathy Fishie
I sometimes (?) think I’m more than a bit weird. Listened to pick of the week earlier. A piece with two parents bereaved by suicide talking, a piece with two sons of abused women talking, a piece with an ICU nurse talking about the stresses of watching all those patients die… And I’m fine with all that. I mean, all very sad and heart wrenching but I coped fine.
Then they play Nimrod and I’m in tears - and that was supposed to be a piece about the healing power of music!
Gin. I need gin but have none. I do however have wine, off to fetch wine.
Nimrod is funeral music! It gets played at memorial services. Why did they think it would be healing?
(They will be saying that about the Last Post too, I suppose.)
Um, apparently because it made some bloke who was dying feel better!
Gawd!
Oh surely not.
On reflection, yes: weird.
Dunno why I did really, it often seems to be a list of reasons to be miserable. It was just, sort of, on.
Gawds, itizz Bluddy Baltic out there, with hailstones on the way back, & more snow due
At least the car started this week…
Had a 'phonecall to say that the woman who gave me my first paid alteration, & who became a very good friend, died last week.
Candle lit, & glass raised to Valerie

I have my candle lit and glass raised to Valerie, Carinthia.
Very glad that your (apparent) middle ear infection has busted out, so to speak, Fishers.
Had a Skypey wotsit with DD, SiL and Poodle. It was good to talk.

Extra butties for wee birdies that are possibly getting iced up wings
Here it’s leaden clouds and ice with a biting easterly
Comfort food for dinner I think - a steak casserole with mashed spuds and spinach
How many cellarati will be at the dinner table?
There may be dumplings…
[sharpens beak]
Still snowing here, but the road is clear
