So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

I know that feeling wee birdie

My SiL is a glamourous slender creature who when asked about leftover food in her house looked shocked and said

“Leftovers???!! What are they?”

They had 2 labradors at the time

Imagine a house near the beach with two really strong black labs who loved the sea to swim in and wolfed down all and any foods they could get their teefs into

Then consider the idea of leftover food…

So, yer basic standard-issue lab model, then ;- )

Yerrsss Labs do have a healthy appetite - positively gluttonous in fact

Every labrador knows, deep in its DNA, that it is meant to be a sphere really.

And so every Labrador attempts spherical shape at every meal be the meal the Lab’s or anyone else’s

And the sphere is ideal for getting wet and dripping into the house

See previous post about proximity to the house of the beach

A whole ocean to swim in sand and bog to roll in and owners who were unwary enough to leave food unattended sometimes

Those Labs were in heaven!

I am looking at sheepskin boot-style slippers, in an “I want to have feet that are not cold to the touch!” sort of way. The sales seem to be on, so…

This was brought on by taking my socks off last night and realising that they were not just not-very-warm, they were actively cold.

And since I don’t really care about the colour, I have gone for these

at £19.20 in the Winter Sale.

I think they probably have visible glue on them, but I don’t really care. So long as they keep my feet warm!

Cosy toes are always good to have

I have a leopard pattern on my foot warmer - it is purring!

Did they shake themselves dry all over you?

I think that is dogs’ ambition - to soak and make muddy their humans…

When I discover which of the many possibilities of slipper they have sent me, I can put up a picture perhaps. Some time in the next ten days.

You do realise that I have selflessly caused a warm spell in the south by ordering footwear suitable for the current conditions?

Every time, of course. TFD trained them, when they had retrieved something from the sea, to drop whateveritwas at our feet before shaking. I wish he hadn’t, it only meant the shake came when you were bending down to pick up whateveritwas, thus getting a faceful.

Shadydog retrieving a dummy. She would have swum a long way out for that, TFD had a dummy launcher thingie…
