Simply the first one on the list - there are cheaper and more expensive alternatives. (However, I have learned the hard way that the cheapest options are usually cheap for a reason…)

Probably not optimal conditions for a good signal…

There are wired versions - you basically close the door on the cable. The point is to get the reading without letting the heat out

Does Yon Bull have a pyrometer (remote IR thermometer) yet?

I can manage to cook even fine cakes and things without constantly hauling in and out the oven

Still meatballs in martyr sauce are burbling away in a slow oven for dinner tonight

I didn’t doubt that for one second. The point of the wireless/remote sensing was to enable interested parties to get the data they “need” without getting in your way.

Personally, I’d go for the Bluetooth version. Reception shouldn’t be a problem if you place the phone where there is no metal blocking the signal. A no-longer wanted Pyrex dish sealed with clingfilm ought to do it…

Right, FBB, you are banned from my kitchen…

As gadgets go it’s quite small and inoffensive.

I find that assertion less reassuring than you might expect.
They starts off small and inoffensive but they ends up as giant shell & tube heat exchangers…

Strewth you don’t want to scrimp on the heat exchangers me old patelliform. Looks fine for a while then one day ker-WHUMP, and not in the good way.

It’s the cumulative amount of gadgets are the problem

Is there a good way for the heat exchangers to go ker-WHUMP?

For a Sparrer, I’d say undoubtedly…
