One pump action flask of soup and several rolls to dip into said alcoholic soup on the wee bird’s side table
Fiendish Ginger Drinks. That’ll sort out yer apostrophes.
Pore Sparrer.

My feverish fevvered fiend is in the kitchen boiling pasta to go with a spag bol wiv melted cheese on it, to be eaten wiv a fiendish ginger drink on the side.
Ah. What used to be described as ‘sittin’ up an’ takin’ nourishment’, then…
Still feverish then? Poor sparrer, hope there’s an improvement soon.
So feed a fever and a chill?
Perfick for wee birdies
Feed an birdie seems to be a good start in general. (Still tuppence a bag… bags is not as large as they used to be though.)
One of my Recoverin’ Dishes, wot I do not eat when there’s a Fish in the house, is melty cheese on top of baked beans.
One of my favourites too.
I used to be v fond of the odd baked bean. One of us, sadly, has changed.
I also had a sneaking fondness for Heinz spag bol once upon a time. Again, no longer, but the Oaf adores it.
When I was a small sparrer there was a jar of (dried) alphabet pasta for Special Occasions.
It seems that now it’s either in 'orrible tomato sauce* or expensive (£6/kg at best).
* yes, the same 'orrible tomato sauce that I’m quite happy with on baked beans. Am I inconsistent? Very well then, I am inconsistent. I am large, I contain gin.
It used to be a lot more reasonable in proper Italian delis. She said helpfully.
I wasn’t allowed it as a Guslet. On reflection, the parents probably had a point [grinnity].
I believe one can also get (small) dinosaurs in tomato sauce.
I have seen pasta in the shape of pumpkins ghosts and from a different place pasta ahem gentlemen’s dangly bits
Blimey. We’re all different and thank goodness for that. Wotevva w#rks. I do hope you’re on the road to recovery from ‘it’, Hedgers.

Indeed: I’d not seen a green Bee before ;- )
Live long enough and you’ll learn more, Gus xx
I enjoyed an amusing exchange, today. It belongs in ‘politics’.

Tinned spaghetti on toast used to be a popular ‘pick me up’, although never my thing. My Mother’s macaroni cheese was wonderful, but that was the main event, or with salad, not as a beast of a side dish.
Some of the commercially produced Martyr sauces in these tinned products are vilely sweet & unpleasant.

Inedible, for me. Sis has always enjoyed baked beans (she is an excellent cook, but…) and also tomato ketchup. Kakkity-yak.
Anyhoo - hugs for Carinthia’s Monday horribleness and fuzzy ones for a teeny sparrer’s poorliness. Best dreams, all,
