I am doing my bit, in between phone calls from a Cellarite, my Sudden Daughter (sitting in the sun in Regent’s Park during her lunch-break), a Cellarite, my son in Norway, a friend from Cambridge, and my brother – it has been a busy old afternoon! In between, I am eating little bits of everything and pacing myself.

Might I point out that the 'orribly 'ot sauce accompaniment to the biryani prawns (you’ll know this, of course) had been persuaded into a deliciously appropriate complement? DS thoroughly enjoyed the meal and we thoroughly enjoyed his company.

That’s herring gulls (and possibly sparrers, going by what I read here), in my experience. The elegance & grace of a gannet diving for food is a beautiful sight.

Coconut fat (off the milk), tomato purée, salt and, yes, yoghurt. I’ll not be able to replicate it, but it was absolutely fab.
