So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

Been X-ray Ed from stem to stern and am diagnosed with a soft tissue injury with the novelty of the lovely gent Arfur Itis in my neck

Sigh

Does beer help with this I wonder?

Poor Twellsy, that injury is so limiting as well as being bloody sore. Did they give you any idea of how long the recovery will take?

Meanwhile, beer is likely to have considerable therapeutic benefits.

Proud of our Fishy for braving the Arctic wevver to support local pubs

Lovely B was a saint and waited for the Tesco man for us so we can eat this week

And we saw our farmer neighbour and we can now get proper milk again

A wee return to normality

I had a great deal of respect for Shirley Williams. RIP, dear woman.

I may have mentioned that our usual walk is along a bridle path. This is a very horsey place and we are largely unfazed by our equine friends. Today, we heard the thunder of hooves behind us and a glorious chestnut mare had apparently made her escape from her pasture. Long story short - we had to use our walking poles to assist in herding her back onto the farm track, while the livery people generally swore and cajoled by turn. We laughed and were reminded of the times that we assisted FiL with escapologist cattle. No pub for us, mind.

Which is a pity, since it sounds as though you’d earned a pint, or indeed a Horse’s Neck.

Aye. Came home and had a cuppa - it’s what it’s come to, Gus. Then made baked seabass and stir-fried some Little Gem lettuce quarters, garlic, ginger, chilli, baby corn, mangetouts and spring onions finished with oyster sauce. Did the job - I don’t usually stir-fry lettuce, but it was quaite naice.

Just think of it as slightly limper pak choi?

More bitter and generally nicer, Fishers, imho. Also, it was available.

The reverse, I would say.
‘It would whimper and whimper
Until it grew limper…’ ?

I like Little Gem, as it doesn’t go flabby

Garlic naan bread here, warmed & served with shredded lamb, & lime pickle…

Yum! Would you like something to go with that, other than a greedy bee, Carinthia?

I could lend you this blatant diversion. Oh look, the naan has evaporated.

Time for bed.

I hope that Monday has been kind to you, Carinthia. Also, that Twellsy’s pain and limitations will be reduced.

Best nights, Cellarites,
