So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

That sounds like “what is the second most important thing to do, after you have dialled 999 and the ambulance is on its way?”

Answer: send someone out to wait for it at the end of the drive/outside the house so that your house-number or name being invisible from the road won’t cause any extra delay.

Dave.

Not the Innocuous Dave, Other Dave, who was at the time married to T.

He gave me a bottle at the end of an evening when we’d been drinking rather better stuff.

I got through about two sips. Innocuous Dave was there for the drinking, and gave up after one. The loo had never been so clean.

Mr Bee likes the cut of the first hen’s jib:

and says thank you. I rather fancy the last speckly jobs as we have recently returned from a rather sweaty walk in sunshine.

Hope your neck consultation is satisafactory, Twellsy.

That is the lovely Millie - who really does have the gentle, calm nature she shows in that pic. The last survivor of the “Crettyard Crew”:

When Jules was injured in the dog attack, the vet suggested we put her with a “calm hen” for company while she convalesced. As one, we said “Millie”.

Did a bit of recreational chainsawin’ this afternoon.

Some of the wood I was cutting was dry and tindery enough that it actually caught fire under the blade.

Didn’t spread though. Oh well.

Morning and the saga continues

Orthopod phoned to apologise and plead with me to get in to his clinic ASAP

Apparently I bruised my neck and with the arthritis a bit of spine might have broken off…

To poison the wound in whoever was foolish enough to attack you?

All the best, Twellsy. I have an interest in cervical spine injury, obviously, but want you to be well, too.
