So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

Am frying potatoes wiv onion to have with smoked ham. Minimal effort or thought involved. Mustard will be.
Involved, I mean.

Good fettling to the soup, Darling.

Having perused the menu here, I have decided to join Twellsy for my supper tonight.

Sounds just the thing.

Seems to be a theme developing! Remains of chilli with - yes - jacket potatoes.

Have caught up with the opera rescoring so have a night off. Beer will happen. (Have just relieved Tesco of the burden of finding somewhere to store a case of Proper Job)

Can only applaud your public-spiritedness (well, a bit of that depends on exactly which opera, I suppose).

There had better be enough Proper Job for our delivery on Monday

Aye. Glugging at the end of yer surreptitious syphon and devious as a newt.

Syphons don’t work very well when there’s fizz involved.

I recommend an Archimedean screw.

Given sufficient suction at the out end, they work well enough.

A new one, based on Anne Hartigan’s La Corbière Been in the pipeline for a couple of years, but as is always the way the obstacles to production increase exponentially with each new person that gets involved. Then came covid…

Finally a taster - the opening and closing of the piece - is (plague permitting) going to get a semi-staged outing online. Forces have had to be reduced to allow for social distancing, so we’ve been rewriting the score for the available line-up and (the absolute worst job) producing a vocal score with piano reduction for rehearsal. Not easy when some of the notes required don’t actually exist on a piano…

Wet windy day here. Good wevver for stayin’ in the On Sweet and tellin’ stories about flyin’. So there I was, flat spin, inverted, nothing on the clock but the maker’s name…

I am off to craft class and will hopefully get my skirt finished

Posh pins that a cellarite gave me will be deployed

The hem will be left to do at home as I need an ironing board to measure the Chatelaine’s correct way ie the way to get straight hanging hems

Then hand stitch once the hem is pressed in place doing lots of short threads so if a thread breaks it’s only a short bit of hem to repair rather than the whole bloody hem

On a 200 inch hem this MATTERS

That does sound rather extensive, if not quite crinolinoid.

It sounds less in inches: 78 is a lot fewer than 200…

Why lead yer whores to water if you’re going to let them sink?

I refer the Honourable Fish to Twellsy’s post, where inches are specified.
