So, who wants to help ... to instaurate the cellar?

Good to know Wandering Bees are back safe to the Hive. And yay! for great times had.

As much as is possible, Twellsy, and you lot have played your part in that. I’ve spent much of the day knitting, which is soothing and needs concentration, which helps. We are now raising our own glasses to Lou. Thanks, all.

More rain this morning.

So there’s three sparrowhawks on me tail, and I know they’re faster than me, but I can out-turn them… nother gin? Don’t mind if I do.

Sparrer hawks are rather stupid - they fly into conservatory windows which have a sparrer sized amount of open window

Oh, sp’awks are quite mad. Most of the raptors are, except owls who are too dim to be properly mad, and corvids who have some patience.

Well wouldn’t you be mad if your prey kept doing turns you were too big to follow and was clever enough to find safety in small gaps?

Have just got the car out, & we are having a dose of the Epic & Biblical rain forecast earlier.

I don’t appear to have shrunk, though…

Sigh

Tsk. The clouds ought to know better than to rain on Our Chatelaine!

In other news, I am making chicken soup to try to make this cold pack up its tent and sneak away.

I shall boldly defend That Fish’s chicken soup against the Horde by drinkin’ it first.

Don’t you get banned from the internet for spelling that correctly? Loathe though I am to mention it :- )

Please note that a Sparrer is not a suitable emergency substitute, although the bird is well versed in Pie Funnellin’ of a sort.

The feet rather than beak stickin’ up is a dead giveaway.

Love the notion. Pity about the eyes.

I trust one foot is roped for safety. They tell tales of a young bird who was dragged in - Stargazy Pie, some do say.

Others say nothing but make a brief sign that yet has something of the tentacular about it.

Well

I really fancied roast chicken & the stock/soup possibilities, but I haven’t gotta chicken ATM, so I made haddock goujons, of sorts & had them with Little Gem, shallots & peppers as a salad ‘starter’.

Must put chicken on the shopping list

Try eBay. Don’t think that firm exists any more.

I have never been to eBay

Nor Amazon

The limit of my online shopping is a wool shop which does fabric and haberdashery and the Bull is very good at checking my order and doing the payment

I am protected to the nth degree online by yon Bull of mine

I have bought specific specialised zips from a company selling on eBay, as The Blessed Fred’s Haberdashery didn’t have them.

I have also done some Reeeesearch there too, as I have some Vintage/Antique Waterford Crystal that I wanted an idea of the design name/value of.

It took several pages of scrolling, but I found the table lamp which had been eluding me listed by an American seller. It’s very popular there, apparently.

I have never been brave enuff to sell anything on there, though.

I buy things from Amazon Smile, when I can’t get them locally
