So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

As requested. I think we may have enough butter … should 4lbs suffice???

Yep one sweet parrot who will let you do anything if you proffer a glass of wine to her

I wish I could say I had been that productive! Sadly, all I did was shift some ornaments around and put a few things away. Nothing was set aside to be got rid of, which is what I really ought to be doing.

Erm

Dear chatelaine

Yon Bull got his hooves into the loaf

He can’t half shift when he sees fresh bread

I bought a tiny, but perfect cauliflower from Tiny Tesco, reduced to 29p

From £1-15p…

Me neither

In Other News:

Sorry to let the side down, but I couldn’t. I don’t believe I’ve bought a bag of sugar for well over 30 years, it could be longer, I have no use for the stuff.

I know, I’m not fit to be a cellarite!

I am just hoping that I am a deserving cellarite

You baked that bread, Twellsy. Enough said.

It was nice bread but it didn’t cut easily

It was the sort that kind of bread that fell apart in chunks

Another ten minutes in the oven might have been an idea

Yeahbut … If you baked the perfect loaf, what would be left to aspire to?

True Fishy

I still beat myself up over less than perfect things the way my parents did

Daft innit?

Which reminds me why I don’t bake large loaves…

I’d imagine that was quite a high hydration, with the milk and butter? IME reduce the oven temp to about 180-190 after the initial oven spring and give it the extra few minutes.

I’m fit to be cellulite.

Still - I made a decent smoked haddock/cherry tomato/pea/Grana Padano frittata this evening.

Joe it was a mix of 500g milk 1kg flour and 100g of butter

So a wet dough kneaded with oooodles of flour to get a decent dough

I think that Joe has a point about the size of the loaf though, Twellsy. 2 medium might have worked well. 1 for us, & 1 for the freezer…

Have been on my knees in front of the 'fridge (!)

I have found the Effing model number
Hallelujah

Have opened some Naice Whaite Waine*

*To reduce the weight on the door shelf, of course…
